Default How much work to fix a flood car?

Let's say I buy a car that has been in a fresh water flood, how much work would be needed to fix the car? Is it even worth buying?

first you have the stink, which is fixable.

then you have the electrical problems from corroded wiring down the line...and that is expensive to even diagnose.

Yeah, it sucks. My co-worker bought a Ford Taurus for $4k, and as the wiring slowly corroded, he began to have all sorts of weird electrical problems. He definitely ended up spending more than if he'd bought a good car in the first place.
