This is car talk not car wars fellas 
how about:
e) an excellent effort at a generally pleasing sporty coupe for the masses
Context is everything. Compared to a true sports car, it's a poor sporting machine. Compared to a luxury car, it's still somewhat rough around the edges. However, compared to GT cars of similar price and size, it's quite good.
