i have a sickness
You people all disappoint me. We get this far into a thread, and no one sees the title and responds....
..."And the prescription, is more cowbell!"
Sure, it's "fever," not "sickness," but I expected more out of all of you.

didnt even read this post. sorry a 91 nsx is junk. slow as piss. your s2k will destroy it in any race. id stick with your purebred. lates
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
A well maintained 1991 NSX will still repeatedly do 60 in the mid 5 second range. It will turn the quarter in the very low 14's. Unfortunately, the original 5 speed gearbox has too big a gap between 1st and 2nd gear so it does hurt "street racing" performance that is all too important to knuckleheads but unless you're talking about a tight autocross course, the extra HP, torque and superior aerodynamics of the NSX would leave an S2K in its wake on most road courses. And once you get over 60 mph... it's over.

Eh... I guess it is for the same reason people own and restore classic cars. It's an emotional thing, doesn't necessarily have to be a logical choice.
I saw a guy riding a Harley today, personally I would have a difficult time choosing between a Harley and a root canal. But that guy looked like he was having the time of his life. To each his own.
But I wouldn't ditch my S2000 for a '91 NSX. I wouldn't mind owning a NSX, mind you (at least once I ditched the silly 15" wheels), but it's not a substitute.
