Never owned an MR2, very nice though. I've read that the motor is capable of wonders!!!!!!!!!!!
the Top Secret Supra has a done up MR2 motor and I think it hit a top speed of 216MPH!!

Tuned correctly, you could do 400hp at the crank on stock internals (or was it 400ph to the ground? Don't remember . . .). I have a '91 Turbo and the handling is comparable to the S2000. Much easier to launch also . . .

Yeah, those were great cars. IMO the styling isn't even outdated . . .

why exactly is the S soo hard to launch?

mr2's are nice (i have a highly modded 91). But MR2s are OLD. If you're gonna get a new car, get a new(er) car.

If you want a fun car I'd go with a RX7...those cars are pretty powerful in stock form and they look real fun to drive...

i dont really like the looks of the Rx-7 (plus maintence??), and i dont really have much money to spend cuz the acoord was given to me from my dad  soo this is just gonna be my project car:p plus the Rx-7 is like the s2k, just more torquey (tt)

The S2K's peak torque is 153 ft lb. at approx. 7500rpm at the Crank. There isn't enough "punch" in the low rpm, and this is what's makes it difficult to get a good launch.

the RX7 is really hard to take care of. most of the used RX7's you see for sale always state that it has a rebuilt engine.

I think you'll have a hard time finding a nice, low milage turbo MR2
