My friend has one with 130k miles and bought it with 29k miles on it... His is an AWD FX35 with no navigation and no sport package.

60K... Engine went do to his lack of attention to oil changes (VQ's are sensetive)... Dealer replaced it for free if he purchased tires from them (which he did) Recently (less then a 100 miles ago) his exhaust has gotten really loud but sounds awesome which I dictate to be a hole somewhere in that exhaust.

The tranny at 130k is butter smooth and it still peels out the rears if you accelerate while turning and down shits awesomely. The car has weight to it so make sure you drive it before you test.

The interior has held up fairly well even with his abuse (owns a grouting company) Recently his BOSE subwoofer gave up on his addiction to trance so he is getting that replaced.

Now I do his oil changes with Mobil 1 and filter by Mobil and it's been fairly smooth.

I like driving the car and it does make you feel better driving a premium brand... The steering wheel has a very quick ratio for an SUV which takes some getting used to. I would stick with AWD for the non sport package RWD's don't have sway bars in the back. It is really easy to work on with simple maintenance which include belt changes, oil changes, brakes, air filter, and etc...

If the price is right, I suggest you buy it!

Sorry if this is poorly written... I just got home and its been a long day.

omairtheman1,

I really appreciated for your input after the long day of work. I will be getting an RWD with 46k miles on it. Anyone else?

What's VQ by the way? Thanks

The car is nice and the vq(VQ35de) the engine is bullet proof. The fx45 v8 heard have had problems in the past. The fx35 is a reliable auto.

yes, all of them come with HIDs.

What year are you thinking of getting? I think some of the early models 2003-2004 had some oil burning issues (not very bad though) I had a 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe, which has the same engine as the FX35, and my friend has an FX35. Its definitely my favorite SUV I've ever driven. Doesn't feel/drive too much like an SUV, feels more like a car, which I love...

I never had any problem whatsoever with my engine or tranny, had to get the window motors replaced and one of the speakers replaced. I had the upgraded BOSE speakers as someone else mentioned earlier. I don't know if the FX35 has the same standard/optional speakers as the G35, but if they do, definitely get the upgraded speakers... 100x better than the base speakers

I almost bought one until I test drove it. It drives and handles very nice and the interior is fantastic. The problem I had is that it is pointless. It is an SUV with zero cargo space. If you want something sporty, then buying a G35 would make more sense. If you want an SUV, then the FX35 makes zero sense. Its completely pointless.
