What car is that engine out of? a 2.5 liter Toyota straight-4? Is that a JDM-only piece?

That's different. Very interesting.

Judging by the license plates on the other cars in the bottom picture, this car is not in the US.

It came in the Japanese Aristo and Soarer. (maybe still does)

More or less a 2.5 liter version of the Supra turbo engine AFAIK.

Cool idea, but I don't like the 20's (or are they 19's?).

Also it appears to be RHD? Didn't know they made RHD stangs.

I'm impressed that he got such an overwhelmingly positive response on a Mustang forum. I'd assumed that putting a non-Ford engine in Ford's pony car would be considered blasphemy.

Funny you should mention that. There was a guy in the Buick Grand National club that put a GN turbo V6 into a late 80s Fox-body GT. He went to the drag strip with it and was blowing people away. When he lifted the hood on it at an all-Mustang event, well, let's just say people were..."upset"...

But yea, that's cool that people liked this hot rod. It's definitely different. I think we'll be seeing a lot more cross-bred classic cars very soon.
