Thank You. I was speaking specifically about the one guy Chad who has I think 356 to the rear. Do you think he could beat a 600cc bike from a 40mph roll?
We are talking about drag racing here? Blah.
I ran a best 1:25 lap time on my R6 at Summit Point, the best I ever did in my supercharged S2000 is a 1:28, I probably would have gone slower with another 300 HP as I would have peed in my pants.
A good racer on a 600 has run 1:16s, not many production cars are quicker if any.
600's can be wheezy if in the wrong gear, you could lose a drag race if you were out of the power band.
Now I rode a friends 04 R1 on Sunday in the mountains wholly fcuk that thing is fast. Way more power than anyone needs on windy back roads.

another one of these threads... honestly they are such a waste of time. its simple, yes bikes are fast, faster then most cars. but there is always someone and something faster. my friend has a 1800hp 03 cobra. he will rape pretty much any bike you want to line up too it. but who cares. HP doesn't equal skill and neither does straight line racing. all it proves is your car has more hp then mine. not that your a better driver.

"HP doesn't equal skill and neither does straight line racing."
Well, you're obviously someone who doesn't drag race much. It takes a surprising amount of skill to run the formal 1/4 mile (or 1/8th mile) at the best your car has to offer. Try it sometime before you look down your nose at the skill required. The pace of driver improvement is not significantly different than for auto-x racing.
And even HP takes serious engineering skill. You're downplaying the effort required to create a 1800 HP '03 Cobra (I hadn't heard of any over about 1200 HP).
