Ok, riding a bike is like flying, that's what it is like.
It's most reminiscent of a flight simulator when the horizon level tilts, but also there is a feeling of weightlessness.
But the best thing about bikes is still imo the coolness/price ratio.
On a dirt bike, part of the time it IS flying. Here's a shot I took last Saturday of Ricky Carmichael and another Supercross pro warming up before the San Francisco Supercross race:
They're about 20 feet above the middle jump of this triple jump and nearly 30 feet above the base. And they make it look so easy.
<<<< Look here...like Scott said, MX is about flying. Since I started becoming more comfortable w/ MX a couple of months ago, I've become totally obsessed to the point it's all I can think about and my RC51 is gathering dust. The feeling of weightlessness in the jumps is such an incredible high!!!
Houston SX is 3/29, and I can't wait! This is my single favorite entertainment event every year.
My 14th birthday is coming up, and i am doing whatever i can to get my parents to buy me a dirtbike. I am looking to get a new crf150f by honda. I have ridden a couple times before, but this would be my first bike, hopefully leading to a great amount of using bikes for the rest of my active life. I would just like to say i know im starting late, but i cant wait to start riding! :]

Both of my sons started riding dirt bikes at 13. You're old enough to really appreciate it and to ride because YOU want to rather than because your dad wants you to. It might be late if you want to become a motocross star, but it's a good age otherwise. Have fun.
