That info has seriously made me hit the brakes. I wont be getting a car to only see a better version come out a year later, and make me cry with envy. I refuse. Ill spend my days trying to prove how much better my older version is then the new one, and trying to convince others to agree.

Sort of like you 03 folks did when the 04 came out =D. BURN!

Fack, Just when you think you got it all figured out, some info falls from the sky. I could deal with it if maybe it came out in 2 or 3 years after i bought mine. But a year is too close.

In 05, diddnt the sti get changed? Or was it simply cosmetics?

I wouldn't buy the current car, but, then, I've already stated that I don't like them a whole lot. The WRX is now on its 3rd face for the same generation car. The '05 changes were mostly cosmetic. There may have been some suspension tweaks or something, but it was far from a redesign. I'd wait, especially if you still like the S.

And excuse my price quotes on the EVO MR, I just rechecked to find it at a much more friendly 36k starting.

I thought they were a little high, but some dealers just have insane markups. You can get a GSR for 32k, but if the Subaru fits you better then go for it. Subarus greatly outnumber Evos here, so I guess it really varies by location.

Pick the one you prefer and you won't have any regrets.

OK, you just lost all credibility w/ me....I upgraded from an '01 to an '03 last year, and that's after test driving an '05. I'm not about to launch another AP1 vs. AP2 debate (I like them both, but voted w/ my wallet on the former this time), but plenty of owners still continue to prefer the original generation.

Let me guess, you liked the '04 b/c of the "unique factor" at the time? LOL

Just go on some testdrives and buy what you like. Obviously our opinions don't matter since we don't have to live w/ the decision. Nor do the throngs of people paying more for Evos serve as any evidence that it may be a better car.

Then ignore it like I did. It's just his opinion.

The last thing i want to do is buy the last year of a model, then have the new version come out a few months later. Do you have any info on when they might be previewing the model?

Ive heard some info on it, but nothing concrete. Thanks
That way you can get the best deals on the outgoing model....I guess if you got have the newest thing...

I think the 335 is a better choice for what you want.
