Sienna/Odyssey. They could make your life much easier with 3 kids (more room, less $ on gas, easier for wifey to drive, etc). Best wishes for the kids by the way...
I'm just fuking with you guys. We're only having one kid which is due 9-9-09. My wife really liked the car and we've had great success with our 2001 pathfinder that has 164k miles on it and still runs like a champ. Looking to get a heavy duty boat sometime soon and would like some towing muscle. I also have had multiple sports cars and am done with that for now why I'm driving SUVs now.

Oh wow, hahaha! We talk about how intense twins would've been considering the workout _one_ gives us (she's 16 mos)

@QK ~ same here, we'd *never* buy a minivan - I'd buy a regular wagon/SCV or what we scored since we wanted *real* offroad capability + towing.

Drive a nice SUV for more than a few days and you'll understand, Al Bundy.

I love having an SUV to haul crap, tow my car to the track, carry 7 people in comfort, and primarily carry myself to and from work on a nice sofa type seat and ride, engine running at 1700rpm at 70mph, while I play with the Nav/XM radio/seat heaters/quad zone climate control/DVD entertainment system, etc. all for $38k brand new. That is why people buy SUV's.

My wife likes it because it is big, ride height is good, and she feels safe. It was a much easier sell than a CTS-V.
Yeah, no doubt. We own a Suburban and couldn't imagine life without it. When this one dies, we'll get another.

Congrats on your new purchase.
I liked the how the QX looked. Pretty much defines luxurious SUV.
I haven't seen the interior, but I'd assume it's pretty good too.
As for buying SUVS, as long as you can afford the gas, I say why not.
Don't tell me you guys believe all that human induced global warming crap.

Who buys vehicles w/ their most often use setting the needs? You may see a mother driving one to work solo during the week, but those who are ignorant enough to judge based on such spot encounters fail to recognize the helpful utility for those who have kids, tow stuff, need lots of cargo capacity, etc. They're not for everyone, but def. fill a need for many, and it's not always practical to have an extra car for lesser needs.

My family just went to the beach for 5 days in my Ridgeline. We made it work, but realized a big SUV would have been ideal for that kind of trip (which included driving on the beach, so a minivan wouldn't cut it).

I love the QX. I think it looks great, and has a real presence on the road. When I have kids, I'm going to stick them in a tank like this. Problem is, my wife doesn't feel comfortable driving something that huge, as she isn't very good at judging distances. She had a REAL hard time with our rental Tahoe.

Dan, Dan, Dan... How dare you suggest that Al Gore would tell a fib? All the "real" studies show that man is causing warming and that we are not in a cooling cycle. The sun has nothing to do with it at all.
