a friend of mine just picked up a k24 motor with a blown head and wants to replace it with a k20a head. ive heard of k20's with k24 heads but not the other way around. any thoughts or opinions would be awesome before i get in on this build. thanx.

 

Which K24 motor did your friend pick up? The K20a head flows the best I'm sure, as it's from a Type-R.

 

I've also never heard of anyone running a K24 head on anything other than a K24 block.

 

i could only find 1 kind of k24....is there more? im not familiar with the crv specs at all.

 

K24a1 is the Crv.
K24a2 is the TSX.

Whatever you do... don't put a Crv head on the block. It's weaker and doesn't flow as well as the K20a2/K20a/K24a2.

yes you can use a k20 head on a k24 block its actually a good combination for all motor

yes. the K20a head fit the K24 block. combine that with ITR cams and its a wicked setup!
