uh 250 is fine. But my suggestion is to go and get a USED 250. you can get one for about $1500 in good condition and the resale, you'll probably get the same amount back. Just sell it and upgrade in 1 year. I guarentee you'll be a better rider for it. I think if you start off on a lighter bike, it'll be easier to learn. After all, you can have the best bike but it all depends on the rider.
Buy used, drop it a couple of times, learn the basic and then decide if motorcycling is for you. Don't forget to get properly license or at the very least a proper permit.
