My mom had one back in the day when I was small, a 92 ls400 and the only problem I remember it had was something w/ the AC other than that it was a great car, never had problems and ran excellent.

edit I did remember the air suspension went out and had to get them replaced

also My parents sold the car with 220,000+ mi. and it still ran like a champ.

If you were going to go VIP style, I'd get a 2nd gen LS400.

what. you cant see a 230lbs(ive lost 15lbs in the last two months. yea for me) 5'11 italian guy with a big snozh rolling around in a dumped LS400?

Well what about an SC? You can go VIP with those and still have the same reliability. It'll be just as heavy, but it has more style.

my father in law has a 91 with 130 + miles. He just does routine maintainence. The stereo sounds better than my s2000 and the car still rides smoothly. No problems ever. You cant beat the early ls's for 5k. We recently took 4 men to vegas in it, smooth as ever.
