^Google'd the video and found a full version here:

You can also watch it on Hulu.
There are commercials, but the streaming performance was better for me.

Aren't all LF-As available via leases only? If so, I wouldn't be surprised if the launch number is hard limited, at least until the lease is up and they let you buy the car afterward.

That is correct. 24-month lease with the option to buy outright at the end of the term. I love the car's engine and interior the most; the exterior could be a bit more elegant, but still very nice-looking in person.

How hard can it really be on the drivetrain in a RWD car? I like the idea of the computer knowing enough to limit you until the car has cooled, but limiting the total number of launches in a $400k car is quite the insult.

Honestly, I dont claim to be an awesome driver but is launching a car properly that hard? If you have traction control (set aggressively so it allows some wheel slip) shouldnt the 0-60 times be pretty consistent? I mean, with different tarmac conditions the launch RPM should be so widely variable that "set at 4K" shouldn't work perfectly on all surfaces... Or are the power these cars making so immense that its near impossible to get a good launch?

seems kind of useless. what exactly is this for? do LFA owners really care about 1/4 or 0-60 times?

It's kinda funny most people (including Lexus itself) call it Lexus LFA, since LFA's L stands for Lexus.

I like the car, but not as much as other super cars in same price range.

It can be. I've been in several cars in Palmdale, with enough HP that it was difficult to consistently launch well. Too much throttle & the hp simply overwhelmed the tires, no matter how wide they were. Too little & we bogged. With high hp cars like this, tire technology just hasn't caught up with this level of hp. Though this being an NA car would make it easier to launch. The turboed cars sometimes were a bitch to launch well.

Pics don't do the LF-A justice - what a stunning looking car it is in person!
