My wife mentioned tonight that she is interested in the Element. She has a 2002 Civic now. I was just wandering if anyone has seen some good prices on them? Our dealership is asking $21,310 for the EX's. This way we may have some leverage when/if we start dealing.

we got our 4wd ex shoreline mist for $21k w/ side steps and larger armrest.

as long as you dont try to get the sunset orange pearl or the galapagos green, you'll be able to get them under msrp. start the wheeling and dealing at 20,500 and work up from there. i got one dealer down to 20,500 for a bareboned blue ex 4wd, but after seeing the blue on the road, we were convinced that blue was the color *not* to get.

whatever you do, DO NOT PAY OVER MSRP.

good luck!

I have seen the Element in person and then while driving. I think the vehicle looks dorky, but my .02$. Wouldn't you rather get a Pilot?

Of course I would rather get a pilot, but my wife makes $7 an hour and can't afford it. We would be leasing the Element, and we don't know that she can even afford that. That is why I', looking to wheel and deal. Every $1000 is $25-$40 less a month.

if you dont like the element, why get it? youre going to have to live with it for the next 3-5 years, might as well get something you want.

as for us, we love the element. it's been 4k miles since we purchased it and we go out every weekend. we've been camping three times, and numerous roadtrips already.. and its not even summer yet!

I didn't say we didn't like it, I just said I would rather have a Pilot. We'll check out financing tomorrow and that will let us know where we stand.

If you buy the Element, your wife will simply be driving the S2k more and you will end up with the Element.

So be sure to pick a color YOU like.

I'm not sure about that one. For some reason she gets mad when I drive her civic, but it's perfectly okay for her to drive my car.
