Default Lotus Elise compare to S2000?

So "my rich snobby friend" who drives a 2006 Mini Cooper S 6 speed (whose parents just gave him that car) looked over to me today and said "Look at this picture of this car (A Lotus Elis) on my phone" and i said "yea thats cool". Instead of just agreeing he says "ITS WAY BETTER THAN YOUR S2000!!!!!" They both have their advantages but I would rather be in an s2000 than an ELISE. Anyone have any comments on this?

Comment: your friend is a dick.

Elise is slightly faster than an S2000 on the track. S2000 is slightly nicer for day-to-day use. Elise is much more expensive. Both are great cars.

^^ yup

Personally, my favorite car is a Lotus Elise / Exige and i would love to have one, and i hope to have one, one day too. But it would be a weekend toy, (i know some people do) But for me, DDing the S is already pushing it, I cant DD an Elise, the Elise was made strictly to go fast around a track, the S2000 was made to go fast on a track as well, but it also had creature comfort in mind somewhat, whereas the Elise does not.

Tell your friend you wish he could drive an Elise for a month, because after that month he would be begging to swap back for his mini or your s2k, i seriously doubt not having power steering everyday is fun for anyone..

I would rather be in an S2000 than an Elise when it comes to being in an accident...

I wonder if he likes your S better than his S.

For straight line, which one is faster? I think the S2000, but correct me if wrong.
and I agree most of you say that S is much better for a DD, especially in an accident. You never know who's running into your car.

^^^ For him to spout like that, I can only imagine hes just quite jealous

Him saying that the Lotus is alot better than the s2k can be a valid point, in only a few categories, speed? sure.. but thats dumb, its like saying a ferrari is faster than the s2k.. ya, so what? It also costs more.. big deal

If i were you my reply would be, yup, and my s2k is so much better than your bmw (confuse him a little bit )
