It's only an LT1.

If I was going to spend the money on an engine donor, I'd go with a single-turbo triple-rotor 20B (quad-rotor 26B is I could find one), and preserve the fore/aft weight balance.

I find it very difficult to believe they fitted the car with a V8 and kept the RX-7's weight distribution and handling characteristics. That is a very nimble and tossable car largely due to it's under 2900 lb. weight.

i know some dudes that might have em. the reason people get rid of the rotary engine is it takes a different skill set to work on them. It is hard to find a decent mechanic who's a rotor-head. Fortunately, we have two really great shops here in Portland Oregon. If I ever blow up my F20C...I may very well be looking at getting a 3 rotor single turbo shoved into the S2000.

Hehe, thanks. But considering the 26B only came in the Le Mans-winning 787B, I bet it's pretty hard to find one.
