12.0 compression.... wow....

why don't all performance cars have 12.0 or so compression? This car can run on pump gas so why doesn't everyone just bump theirs up?

its probably expensive to produce an engine that can take 12:1 for a long time. forged internals no doubt. upgraded valve train, high end coils, not very cost effective id imagine.

est. base price $65K and as tested price $70K

Which puts it in the same price range as a Z06 or GTR (tho that may not be selling at MSRP depending on how many they bring over here).

I was hoping for the M3 to be slightly cheaper than that and I would assume they will somewhat limit then so they can stick close to MSRP for a while.

It's surely a quick car, and I would like the sedan option.

I really would like to see a DSG tranny

I've got no info on pricing but it would make sense if they are planning another //M coupe beneath it.
