Massive conversion for my CTS-V!

Congrats, I've considered a Turbo to replace my CTS-V as a daily, but I'm still enjoying the V too much. Just put on my 3rd set of tires in 31k miles, some Michelin Super Sports, and the V is comfy when you want it to be and very fast and fun when you are in the mood. The Turbo has a lot of pluses going for it, but it doesn't seem the comfort/performance envelope is quite as wide as the V. It may have a little more performance (and much better traction), but it won't be as comfy in the day to day grind. Of course, you may not care because you're driving a Porsche 911 twin turbo.

Not so much boring, but didn't have a certain effect on me like the Porsche does. I always found myself thinking about my old 996tt and how it would be cool to get in another TT sometime.
That's hilarious, it does look like one there *shudder*
I have a 1992 Honda Accord, manual tranny too. It's awesome - I can park it anywhere, it does great in the snow, installing a sound system was insanely easy when you don't give a shit about appearance, ha. I even threw an intake on it from a leftover intake I had on my old STi, it was pretty crazy how much louder and aggressive the motor sounds in that car now.
I think if you drove the 997tt just once you'll be convinced. For me, I am actually excited to see 15mpg! I think I averaged 9-10 in my V.
2007. I almost got a 2010, but the salesman informed me the engines are completely different in that year. I had no idea that when they did the facelifts they changed the engine in the TTs.

you actually made a really good call on the 07 vs 10.
I believe in 07 they still had the metzger engine, which is a full race engine block that they use in the race cars even today; granted it's less efficient - but it's pretty much bulletproof from what I've read in a porsche book, pretty sure it's good for like 700whp on stock internals
the new higher displacement TT engine are less robust and more efficient

. I'd take an 07-09 Turbo over the '10 as they went to a less robust engine in '10.
