Default May be a stupid question.

Exactly where does the word "car" come from?

"Car" is derived from "carre" from Middle English. "carre" can be traced back to "cart" from old north French, which in turn can be traced to the latin word carra (plural) or carrum (singular), which was a Gallic wagon.

Make sense?

Thanks WSB. It makes sense. I suppose I could have looked it up, but where would the fun be in that.
