Let's not throw stones too quickly, the S2000 styling and concept was taken from the original Miata.

Yea, Mazda is just taking it back. Mazda cars are looking up these days. Now if their quality was as good as Honda's I would Consider a Mazda 6. I think that they look better than the Accords on the outside. The interior is a different story.

Can't vouch for Mazda's other cars, but the Miata is very well built and very reliable. You see lots of 10-14 year old ones around and none of them blow smoke. They are a smaller, lighter and less powerful car but a great little sports car.

But many Miata's are pampered like out S2000's. So they don't count. You may see a 12 year old Miata with only 130,000 miles.

Mazda has styled some very attractive cars over the years. Those same cars have also carried some derivative styling from other brands. (2nd Gen RX-7 and the Porsche 944 being a big case in point).

The RX-8 follows that trend in "borrowing" styling from the S2000. At least in my book.
