Default MB SLS AMG vs. Lexus LFA - performance stats

The July 2010 issue of Car and Driver has a road test of the MB SLS AMG and a track test of the Lexus LFA. I found the numbers comparison interesting:
Price - SLS $202550, LFA $379,000
Power - 563bhp, 553bhp
Torque - 479lb-ft, 354lb-ft
Curb weight - 3792lb, 3583lb
0-60mph - 3.5, 3.7
0-100mph - 7.5, 7.8
0-150mph - 17.4, 18.3
1/4-mile - 11.6 @ 126, 11.8 @ 124
200-ft skidpad - 0.98g, 1.00g
70-0mph - 151ft, 156ft

I'm pretty surprised that the SLS beats the LFA across most of the performance metrics, given the huge gulf in price between the two cars.

Easy (and not surprising), the SLS a little more HP and weight, but a lot more torque.

Lex is probably faster around a track, but i'd much rather take the SLS for better performance #s, looks, and cant believe i'm saying this about a MB, more economical price.

The figure that surprised me was the LFA's curb weight. I did not expect it to be so porky given all that carbon fiber.

The Merc honestly will probably have a better long-term and verrrry long term value also (% based if not outright). Gull wings baby

WTF? I remember a press release from Mercedes saying that the SLS had a curb weight of 3300 and change. When did that change?

If I were rich enough, I'd still take LFA over SLS . LFA's sound, and its many other characteristics are just attracting.

a few hundred LFA's compared to a few thousand SLS? The LFA will have the better resale.

I will take the SLS. I can't get over the LFA with its bulby look and holes in all the wrong places. I do admire the hardware though.
