That review seems like they never drove it in SD/Manual mode which is the only way to drive it IMHO.

The rest of the review is fair, it's no SMG but shift response will improve no doubt with software upgrades from DINAN or JCW, which right now, is the only thing out-of-place. The gearing in the '05 manual is GREAT, the auto '05 gearing is better than the previous model year manuals but not as punchy as '05 manual. Haven't had a chance to try a LSD equipped '05 but I'm sure that would be a blast.

Handling characteristics remained unchanged, aftermarket mods will handle speed issues (mmmm, turbo). Overall I'm happy with the upgrade from the '03 MCS to the '05 MCSa.
