It's a good thing Mazda doesn't listen to people like you. MX-5 sold really well this year and actually had a Year over Year increase, whereas most other automotive manufactures saw sales declines in 2020.

Unfortunately, the ND is still 10K units behind the NC after 6 years of sales. It's a shame, considering it's the best Miata ever made.

 

I think that most moderns cars have "challenged" styling, but I think the ND Miata is better than most. YMMV

Then again, I think aesthetics would be improved if they reverted to requiring all cars use the 7" round headlight again...
