Mid-Engined Corvette?
That's just a test chassis - final car wouldn't look at all like that. Honestly, I can't believe they're testing this vehicle. I said I'd never believe it but there it is. Should be an awesome machine when they really start to develop it.
That said, this thing is a long way from production - plenty of work left to do if they're using a basic mockup like that...

I guess it's possible, I've never seen a company go to such extreme lengths to disguise a car. Every time we've seen a pre-production vette it's just had the standard cammo treatment. A whole different body is taking it to a completely different level.
On a side note, I'd love to see Chevy make an entry level car with an LS motor, and wheelbase as short as this is speculated to have.

Probably be a great car, but if C&D's forecast of a $150,000 supercar pricetag, no care.
They would get my interest up with a modern Fiero interpretation with a turbo four or the 3.4 liter six in a midengine $40,000 car, just minus the Iron Duke engine fires.

Being the main shit talker, I don't plan on eating any crow. Car and driver is throwing out a full set of details about it (inclduing when it will be released, calling it a C8, etc) and I just think they don't have any real info. Even IF gm is testing a mid-engine chassis, it is way to early to be throwing out renderings of what it might look like, especially that ug-mobile they put on the front cover...
Having said that, I would take the mule in those photos, I think it is beautiful the way it is!

about Car and Driver a few months ago will be eating crow.
