Growing up my father had Astro vans for work. I always wanted to take a black one slap a red wing on it and red stripe, and wear a ton of gold chains. The Chevy Astro had a big 4.3 V6 and rear wheel drive with 250 some odd ft/lbs of torque, I wouldn't mind driving one if the situation demanded more space. Given a choice I would prefer a WRX wagon.

Wife owns a Odyssey and loves it, I drive it once in a while and it handles well and has loads of room. The best part is it's a Honda!

We had a Landcruiser, traded it on an Odyssey a few years ago, when #3 arrived. For us, night and day. Cruiser was great but Odyssey crushes it as far as functionality, utility, storage, mileage and highway cruising. Just wish it had AWD. It can carry 8 in the morning and then swallow up a bunch of 4x8 drywall sheets in the afternoon. Plan to drive the wheels off it.

people who proclaim they would never be caught dead driving one are probably just insecure of themselves. to me, a car's a car. if i need to seat 7 and/or carry big loads, i would not hesitate to drive a minivan. heck, if i desperately needed a car to get somewhere and someone offered to lend me a pink beetle, with a rainbow sticker in the back, i would not hesitate to take up on the offer.

If I was married with or without kids, a minivan would do me just fine. **** SUV's and the oil they rode in on.

Neither, I would use a M5 touring or Audi RS6 (586 hp) for a kid hauler/grocery getter.
