I remember seeing that a while back, and as cool a design as it is, how many bugs and bits of dirt would end up in your mouth by the time the drive was over ?

Also - Wouldn't those tires wear down on the inside edges very very quickly?

I'm not a fan of the looks - but pah - it's a concept looks are not of real importance.

But what is with all that negative camber??? Another aesthetic design piece I think.

Did MB hire Bangle?

Looks like MB really hates manual transmissions huh?

I really like that design, but I want to know what type of compounds are those tires made of, and how the wheels are designed, because I would think that normal wheels would warp with that much pressure on the rim? wouldn't it??

The Carving was a fun concept Mercedes came out with a few years ago... I think the active camber system is quite amazing after reading several magazine articles on it.

however I won't give up this Elise for it...

Diameter of the inside and outside of the wheels are different. I think it was 19" on the outside and 17" on the inside. It also used specially made tires that fits the wheels.

The camber is actively adjusted and can vary as much as 0-20 degrees depending on road situation.

I think it pulled something like 1.28 lateral g.
