Default My Vms C70

I figured since ill be posting here for along time ( proud owner of my S2000 which has gone under a major makeover) i would post some pics of my other car i built. I work for VMS performance out of evansville In. We do mostly Volvo's but other Euro cars. Funny to hear about fast volvos but they are good platforms as far as the motors are concerned. We spent alot of time developing these parts and testing them. The car right now is around 400whp on 93 octane fuel. Full long block has been built with full custom intake and exhuast manifolds as well as a GT3071R turbo. Complete fuel system ect ect. Take a look and tell me what you think. I know its funny but the car is a moster Def get a funny look when i smoke a Vette or another fast ars car.

Here are some pics. Ill post some outside pics soon.

Thanks man, yeah its a sleeper in a way just cause its a "volvo" and everyone thinks no volvo can be fast. I have Kw v2 coilovers on it with stoptech BB kit in front. Centerline rpm wheels were on it and now some peggys and full anti sways. along with a fmic you can see nice from the front. The car sounds amazing unlike anything , its a 5cyl so it sounds like a mean deep growl. Fun car def, thanks.. Runnign Defi Gauges with the controller. Love those defi's.

Nice, but that much work in my old Supra would get you 700hp+. However, that's not the point. I would love to see a high horsepower Volvo. The R models really interest me. Unfortunetly, I know there isn't a huge aftermarket like with BMW's and Audis, hopefully you guys can turn things around.

The prettiest Volvo engine I've ever seen.

And talk about a unique ride. Not only are you the fastest C70 around, but who else has a built Turbo-5 prowling for victims?

Yeah that much work in a supra would def be more power, but the big hold back for my car is the tuning situation. The Volvos use Bosch me7 with electronic throttle, so its been a tast to get things to par. In the future i plan on taking the GT3071R off and going to a GT35R. 400whp was only at around 22psi of boost , so if i took it upto 28 or so 450whp would be around the corner. But at the moment its just been at a stopping point. I have had my focus on my S2000. As for the R cars i worked at a volvo dealership in sales here in nashville. They are nice cars, there is one in my garage Its pretty much stock besides a chip which puts power around 340hp at the crank. My buddie has one that i tune and worked on and he is around 340whp with Ecu,Full 3" turboback and fmic with around 20psi of boost. Def a nice ride! Thanks for the great comments.
