Seriously, what other kind of racing matters?!? If Jesus was a racecar driver, he'd drive NASCAR!!!one11eleventyeleven1!!11!!OMFGLMAO:ROFLCH OPPER:SIIHP!!!

Feel free to post away about how NASCAR SUXX0R5, and the rest of humanity can keep their IQ intact :/ Perhaps your words will be seen by some lost, closeminded soul, brainwashed by the Pettys, Earhardts, Junior Johnsons, and all those other evil purveyors of automotive porn, and somehow, their F1 soul will be saved.

mods, delete this thread as soon as the mild amusement gets old

nascar puts on a great show for the fans. unfortunatly, when something becomes extremely popular, it also somehow becomes popular to hate it.

It cracks me up how a lot of people associate NASCAR with normal street cars. When I ask people why they like it they say the cars are close to what you drive on the street...

Like you said, Supercup, WRC, GrandAm, World Challenge are all far closer. When I ask about that, they say those races are boring....

You all have to understand one thing... NASCAR is extremely easy to understand for the common person. All the cars look the same and basically perform the same. There is only one class of car on track at one time.

I don't really understand why people love it either... A lot of it comes down to how well the TV coverage is and how well people feel like they know the drivers who's names are all easy to say. People really feel like they're common men. I think that's a lot of it.

For fans trackside at the event:

oval racing-Nascar-Cart -IRL-USAC-WOO-NHRA

Why because it's easy to see lead changes, the sights and sounds and let's face it any idiot can understand it. One class on track and winner takes the checker 1st except NHRA has a win light in the lane at the end

For fans at home:

Everything else

Roadracing if properly broadcast is better at home because of the different camera views . The same is true of street courses Imsa-ALMS-WRC-F-1-Rolex,ect

Why is oval racing bad at home ;because you can watch the 1st 10 laps and the last 10 laps and have missed nothing in between.

Love NASCAR- have for years. I like all kinds of racing and enjoy watching them on tv. I attend 1 NASCAR event each year and love the whole thing.

I am sure I will get blasted for this, but for me F1 is boring. The cars are INCREDIBLE!!! However, the 'racing' is anything but. I watched three events this year and after the first three laps there was no (read ZERO!!!) passes made on the race track. Any change of position was done while someone was in the pits. Michael won all buy two or three events and the championship was decided LONG before the season was over. For me, that's not exciting.

As I said, the cars are awesome and the driving skill is far better then I could ever do, but the show itself is boring.
