Default need a new car thread

get into a bad accident. I try to avoid another car that pull into my lane. Ended up curbing all 4 wheels, hit a sign post that cut up my top. I think that sign come really close to my head and lot of underside damage.

insurance is going to total it.

My options are buy a $5000 use car or something new. I don't think I want another S. Already been in 2.

need recommandation for something in the 25k range for a new car. thinking of a wrx or another 4 door.

also what used import is good at the $5000 range. I may do this just not to have a car payment.

thanks

i'd go with something fun. Civic Si, Cooper S, GTI, WRX, etc. all in the 20-25K range.

I think you may have realized the financial benefits of not having car payments through all your misfortune. I picked up a 4dr GSR for 5k flat and am earning 9.x% interest on money in the bank I saved. I already have a sportbike and nice car; of course I could buy a nicer 3rd vehicle but damn does making money on your money feel good instead of paying 800 down the drain for new tires on a depreciating asset that just sucks gas

how do you earn 9.x% by putting your money in a bank?

Anyway.. do you mean brand new car, or new to you. At ~25k I would pick up a 2005 or 2006 GTO with ~5k-8k miles. Should be an easy find. If you want brand new I would drive a MazdaSpeed 6, GTI, WRX.. and .. who am I kidding I have no idea this segment doesn't interest me at all

how do you get 9% in the bank, because i'm getting half that from ING.

I also agree with the mazdaspeed6, great performance with luxury minus the boy racer image.

Good suggestions! I'd add the MazdaSpeed 3 to my short list.

There are nice leases now the the TSX ($299), TL ($369), and EX V6 Accord ($269). I couldn't stay interested in any of them for 36 mo., but the deals are attractive.
