It’ll wheelie at any speed so far up to 190. I lost bravery past that. That was at 380 hp. At 500 it should come up over 200 even with the 5” over.

It also merges well on the highway, lol

190mph wheelies is honestly kind of disturbing. I am currently riding the H2 SX SE and thought it was pretty quick. What is the bike geared for?

Currently geared for 211. I had land speed gears on for awhile. It’s easier on the clutch with the current gearing when first taking off in first.

Boost by gear tune or is it all on turbojonn?

Cool as hell. I could not have this due to lack of self control!

Thanks. Boost by gear is how I have it set up. The controller can also do ramp rates or timed boost (for drag race). I’d be long dead without the controller haha. If you look closely at the boost controller you’ll see it displaying “gps” and a ? where the gear position would be if the bike was running.

So what is next for this beast? 'Bout time you ditched those OEM calipers to free up some unsprung mass, no?! Tokico might be the only thing that stands between you and 200mph wheelies!

Well done on putting up a decent bike thread on here. It was rare even when we had a separate subforum for bikes.

It’s actually pretty light for a Busa as it is. I put some BST wheels on it and that dropped the unspiring mass waaaay down. It’s twitches left and right a lot more quickly than the 600rr I had. Once you’re actually in the corners, you can fell the weight but twitching back-and-forth the carbon wheels really help.

I had looked at swapping in some radial Brembos. The stock calipers ended up being waaaay more than enough when I put some EBC HH pads in them. They’ll look up with one finger. The “feel” isn’t as tractable as Brembos (full kit), but the HH pads changes the oem braking drastically.

The closest I’ve come to dying on it is brake related:

-when I switched from 12 pounds to 18 pounds of boost and went down the same “test highway”I always went down At 12 pounds. The long open Highway space I would use to test things ended in an open Highway space I would use to test things ended in an overpass that turned to the left. At 18 pounds I tucked my head down and wide open throttled it. The wheel came up at something over 190, I know this because when I let go of the throttle and looked at the speedometer was still buried above 185. Then I had to stop for the overpass, which was a big sweeping left turn. I came so close to going over the edge. That’s when I switched to HH pods as well as when I decided not to use my test anymore. That was at about 380-390 hp. I’ve ridden it once on race gas at 32lbs. It was so much more ridiculous it’s hard to describe. It was kind of like a dream where you image being a mile up the road and then your magically there. I knew it would
end in death, so I turned it back down and kept it on pump gas.

I have the same BST CF wheels and agree it is shocking how much it changes the handling of the bike. It sounds like you need a longer test track!!! You should get out to one of those 1-2 mile airstrip events. Unsure where else you safely test the 200's.

I was set up to do Bonniville years ago. The closer it got to the day of the event the less brave I got. I was relieved when that year was cancelled.
What I found when I looked into this is that landspeed bike racing has about the highest fatality rate in Motorsports. That, coupled with the numerous rear tire failures at just above 230mph gave me pause. I love playing with hp, but I pretty much chickened out of wanting to to do a sustained high speed run of 5 miles. That being said, I’ll probably still do it, but probably at Maxton- shorter run, and not on salt.
