Default New Civic

Honda did a 180 in the design from ridiculous but unique, to boring and derivative. I see VW and old Scion tC in the design.

Good riddance to the fugly hideous 10th gen & back to their senses with the 11th gen, glad to see the design team got their collective heads out of their butts.

I really love the current TypeR- I'm in the minority- but I really like the look of it- and it is the best performing FWD (available in NA) since the Integra TypeR. It continues to blow me away every time one of my friends lets me drive theirs (many thanks Dean and JVF1).

As for the new one (the typeR in particular) tail looks like a less boring accord, front end is more mature- definitely less bonkers, and that makes me sad. I like it when a manufacturer takes a leap, F the masses who don't get it- all cars don't have to be all things to all people at all times every day of every year.

can't wait to drive it!

I am torn between picking up the 2021 Civic Type R or wait for the 2022. The new Civic looks huge almost looking more like an Accord. We will have to wait and see what type of specs the 2022 will have.

Is the screen tacked onto the dashboard still a thing? I thought that dad has passed.

The civic IS huge. The current one is amongst the (if not THE) largest in its class. It's body proportions are already comparable to an Accord (slightly more leg space in the Accord's rear cabin) but everything else is competitive. It's hilarious to call the Civic a compact.
