Honda, if you're reading this please build it! there's no excuse for Honda allowing BMW to build a better CRX with their MINI Coopers. I bought one of the first 84 CRX's and my daily driver is a 91 CRXsi.

Please build it and bring it to the States. Make it more fun than the Cooper S and I'll park one in my garage. JUST DO IT!!!

we all know it'll take a while to turn speculation into reality, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed

Forgive me for the question, but what is so great about CRX's? I'm not trying to flame- this is a genuine question. I have been thinking about getting a winter beater and the CRX is on my list, but why does it have such a cult following? What should I look for in a CRX and what is a good price for a later model one? How is the MT on that car? Tranny feel is very important to me in a car.

My CRX (Del Sol) was my entry to VTEC world. What's so great - the powerplant and a great package overall!

Its too bad they chose to design the insight for fuel economy only as it would have sold better if it looked like this. For all intensive purposes the insight is an aluminum CRX with rear wheel covers.

My '84 CRX was my 2nd car...but my first love. Red over silver quarters. Handled like a pocket rocket -- in fact, this car helped create that very term when street bikes (that later assumed the title pocket rocket) like the Honda Interceptor were just hitting the pavement. Nearly 1500ccs at that time tucked away in an ultra-lite chassis. Add a huge cargo area and leg room for Andre the Giant (yes...he was alive then)...and you had the recipe for success! Nice lines (loved mine's lil black OEM spoiler). Oh yeah...and for all that peppiness, I could still get 48+ MPG commuting to college. Got 56 MPH on one particular tank (but that is embarrassing to a fellow that otherwise enjoys keeping the pedal through the floor!).

Another thing...snow. I never feared snow in my CRX. That FWD drove like a jeep in snow.

Unflippinbelievable.

Just a great car. So good I purchased another later. Then a Civic. Then another Civic. Then the S2000 I have now (which handles for $hit in the snow BTW ).

I purchased an 84 and an 88 new way back when. My first and second new car purchases. Put 100k on the 84 and got half what I paid for it when I sold it in 88. Shifted at redline all the time and it just kept going. Gave the dealer a hundred down and 2 months later I got a blue one for $6400? doesn't get any better than that!
