project is not scrapped. Honda plans to launch it in fall of '04 as an 2005 vehicle. This is an exact quote from an NSX service tech-"the next gen. NSX is gonna blow u away".

I am going to the NSXTexPO in dallas in mid-june. I will try to get more details. So far, nobody knows if it will be a V-6 with a 50hp electric(dualnote) engine, or will it be a v-8.

I wonder if there will be an improvement of the price, too.

Better be around 50-75 grand, yet have a bigger V6 or V8. A v8 would be good, but I don't think it would be as good as a typical American V8. But still Mid-engine V8 with luxury and rock solid dependablity.

recylced 7up cans is a good thing. Aluminum is why that car weighs less than the s2k and keep the perfromance (accleration and handling) very respectable. I do agree with you though, the price is high, I did hear they wanted the new one to be less than the current one. should be a fantastic car for sure.

quoted from www.acura.com
Curb Weight
(NSX Coupe/NSX-T) NSX 3.0: 3069 lbs./3113 lbs.
NSX 3.2: 3164 lbs./3208 lbs.

From my calculation for the NSX 3.2 T top (3164 lb) 10.9 lb per hp.
2003 U.S.A. spec S2000 11.7 lb per hp.

Why wouldn't a Honda V8 be better than an American V8?

Oh yeah the electric motor mentioned above produces 100hp. Not 50hp.

I wonder if "Rio Yellow Pearl" will be an '04 NSX color in the U.S.A. like it is for the '04 S2000?

One of the old rumors from way back is that steel production technology has advanced to the point that Honda could, if they wanted to, make a cheaper steel NSX that weighs no more than the current AL one.

Would be nice, if true.
