Well I officially ran out of things to do on my s2000 that wont junk it up. The motor is completely finished. So i need a new project to start. Im thinking about restoring and beefin up a 67 camero. But its just an idea for now, Ive shopped around and liked what ive seen. Any other muscle cars you guys feel that I should look into?

 

70 Chevelle is a good platform too.

 

I like the 'Camaro' too. What year range are you considering? Late 60's early 70's? The only reason I ask is I am a firm believer that if you are going to spend a lot of time and money restoring a vehicle it might as well be one which will give you the largest return on your investiment.

Early fast back mustangs (66-67) or 69, 70 Mach 1's can still be purchased relatively cheaply also but the value of restored units are rising. Parts can be obtained cheaply. They are easy to work on. I have always been a fan of the early pony cars.

My favourite would be a mid 60's Coronet with the Hemi but...lol...to find one that didn't cost an arm and a leg...

I guess my thoughts would be to find a car you like and one that will sell well when and if you decide to part with it. Make sure it is something that parts can be purchased easily and cheaply and have fun.

And I agree 100% with PBM! The Chevelle is great platform. Big block 396....

 

Im lookign for 67-69 years. but id also like to work on a viper... probably 1999-2002 around that time frame. but im not having much luck on finding good performance dealers... any websites you guys know will have some parts...

What about 67 Chevy IIs? Nice and small for the year, trim overhangs, you can throw anything in the engine bay, they clean up real nice, crazy aftermarket options, etc.

As far as Chevelles go, Olds 442s are great too, and Skylarks can be found probably fairly cheap. Are you looking for a bigger or smaller ride?

Many of the early Camaro parts crossover and the prices aren't as high for decent ones as they are for same year F-body cars(Camaro-Firebird)

Datsun 510!! Ok, not a muscle car, but still cool and could be made to be mighty quick.
I love the 69 camaro particularly because of the fender lines.
For american, nothing beats a restored 63 vette split window.

 

Mopar! 426 hemi and breathe on it for insane power. How about a '68 Charger ala Bullitt or Blade?
