www.newenough.com is a good site. Despite the name, it's actually NEW stuff at good prices. Good site, never had any probs with them.

+1 but they are now called motorcyclegear.com . I know they want to be known for new gear as well but it is dumb to take a VERY well-respected name and start over from scratch. They would have done better to maintain newenough as the "used" site and point all new gear inquiries to the new-named site.

you can pretty much get any helmet for that price. shoei, arai, shark all good choices.

if you do alot of riding id stick with leather. look for one with preforations.

lots of good used gear out there too if you dont mind used.

try on an agv. i thought the gp tech felt great. go to a local bike shop and try them on, its important it fits right. id do same with a full piece leather suit. full gear all the time.

Above agreed. Fitment and features are everything. especially with helmets. Are you doing long rides? Low Wind Noise level helps and you won't know until you actually ridden with the gear. Is it heavy? Is visibility good peripheral? Airflow, visors, and face shield thickness. Safety rating. Cost. Buy good gear that fits perfect. you don't need to spend an arm and leg. I would buy full gauntlets over gloves. I've seen many accidents and I frown at squids that I see on the 10 fwy wearing shorts flipflops and tank top. Well fitting cheap gear > bad fit. Ride safe

I'm definitely going to a shop to try on things before purchasing gear. I was looking into agv also for helmets and leaning towards buying leathers cause of my 30 min commute one way in the am. Is buying a jacket one size up a bad idea? I was thinking of this for the occasional hoodie.

used gear isnt a huge issue as long as it's kept up well. but I plan on purchasing a new helmet bc i've heard you should never buy a used one based on crash safety.
