I'm kind of disappointed to be honest. I was hoping it would take some more styling cues from the 918. And it still has a soft top? All its competitors have moved to folding hard tops.

That's b/c Porsche makes sports cars, not hairdressers' cars. A retractable hard top would add a lot of weight. If you want a hard top, there's always the Cayman.

I'd like a hardtop if they kept weight down (like the Miata) but I have a feeling Porsche would make it a little heavier in the interests of more sound deadening and "sophistication"...

Folding hardtops can be designed to be light weight, like the miata. And isnt the boxster a hairdressers car anyway; real men drive 911s.

I don't think they will put a folding hardtop in the Boxster as long as they still make the Cayman...

REAL men drive MG-TDs and wear houndstooth caps and suede patches on their elbows, while smoking a pipe.

I think the Miata retractable hardtop only adds about 70 pounds over the softtop.

Doesn't look completely undisguised to me.

The taillights definitely look covered cuz there's no way they'll look like that.
