I just got the same email....dam...i was hoping that 1% wasn't a scam.
btw..check the auction again and now its shut down.

Thank you for contacting me regarding your willingness
to purchase my 2004 Acura NSX.
First of all I want to tell you that the price
includes all the shipping costs and insurance so you
will not have to pay any extra charges. The car has a
Clear Title which will come along with it.
The car is in a perfect condition (no mecanical or
optical problems, no scratches or dents, no engine or
gearbox problems). It will be delivered from Germany
via Lufthansa AirCargo insured and it will take 4-5
days
tops until you will have it at your address. The car
is an US model with US specs and it will comes with
all the documents you need to transfer it into your
name.

I am willing to let it go for $18000 with $3000 downpayment
and the reminder after you will recive the car.

I request the payment to be done through eBay.
Only after you will receive the car I will recive the
money.
So in this deal eBay will be the third party .Please
note
that eBay will hold your money until you will confirm
to
them that you received the car and you accept to keep
it and
transfer the title into your name. This is for an
secure and good deal.

If you agree with these terms, please email me your
full name and address and ebay ID and I will be more
than glad to
start the transaction with you trough eBay .

Warmest Regards

But if the seller is willing to let eBay act as the independent escrow agent, maybe it is that rare 1% after all. You deposit your money with eBay, you get your money back if the car does not show up, how can you loose?

Just another stupid ebay scammer. Shocked to find that the auction is invalid.

I don't know if he's talking about the escrow account, as escrow.com is completely independent of Ebay.
