Take a look:

I'm sure this will start a whole new round of NSX bashing.

Very few of them to begin with -- and when you take into consideration all of the fanboys who have put this car on a pedestal (why is anyones guess, 13's are slow) who can now afford the car at a 20-50k price point -- it makes sense.

Another interesting phenomenon is the recent stagnation of S52 and in particular S54 M coupe prices. With very few out there (fewer than 600 S54's) prices have not dropped much in the last 6 months.

Steve, you sound like a street racer. "I live my life 1/4 mile at a time"

Trap speed is not the end all and be all of a great car. Guess you'll take a Neon over a NSX (if it's faster)

No, but for 90 grand I'll take a used 911 Turbo that can run high 11's stock and outhandle the NSX ..... oh wait I already did.

The NSX is now a 14 year old design. In comparison to what else is out there, it (every year, even the current generation) is outclassed for less money.

Some people like the NSX, some people don't. You really don't need to be a cranky old dick about it.

It's not fair to compare the MSRP of a new NSX (they can actually be purchased for the low $70's) to the price of a used Porsche. If you want to compare MSRP to MSRP, a 2002 Porsche 996 TT had a base price of approx. $118k, add options such as floor mats, and most retail at $130-$140k. $40,000 to $50,000 can buy a whole lot of performance for an NSX. Or you could buy a new NSX for full retail price, an S2000 and a Mini Cooper S for the cost of a nicely optioned Porsche.

I have a 996TT as well and paid in the $90's for it. My NSX cost me much less than $50k and that includes the supercharger. The NSX puts down about 370 rwhp. How much does your Porsche do? 415hp at the crank is about 350-370 at the wheels. Sounds like the NSX is a far better deal than your (or my) Porsche.

I knew this thread would entice you into more NSX bashing.
