I have owned both an AP1 S2000, as well as an NA2 NSX. The NSX definitely has the wow factor when compared to the S2k. The S2k though was definitely more fun to drive around town, and less of a hassle when it comes to grabbing people's attention ( ie parking ). Both cars were awesome. I can give you more details if you are interested.

I loved the revvs of my ap1, and with a super charger and good tires there is not much more fun to drive than a sc-S2000. However, there are about 10000000000 S2000's in my town, so a bit common to the eye. The nsx in stock form is sexy, but a bit underpowered for the money these days, but again... add a super charger and you will be blown away by its handling and performance with a rare car.

I have driven all 3.
I'd have to agree. The higher HP motor in the NSX was the deal for me. I've driven quite a few of them and came so close, so many times, to signing for one but there was always something amiss (mostly service records). For me, the S2000 can't compete with a Honda V6 mounted right behind my ears. I also like the cockpit more in the NSX. It's a superb car and a '97+ NSX is a better car to me than any year S2000. The midrange was so nice on the NSX...........

If you have more details by all means share . Thinking that I will likely never really get a chance to drive one, I am just really curious as to how they "feel" compared to the S2k, atleast handling wise. I have driven some pretty nice handling cars, and the S2k just blew all of them out of the water for me, at least for what I look for in a nice handling car. It would only make sense that a rear engine car, designed with as much or even more detail that Honda put toward the S2k should handle better or atleast "different". I am just curious as to how better feels compared to what I would consider the best, as far as the cars I have driven.

Honestly, the S2000 drives better.

If you want to know what an NSX drives like try a 2007 Boxster S or Cayman S.

They drive very similar but the Porsches are more forgiving when the back end brakes loose and you sit up higher than the NSX.

When you sit in an NSX you feel like you are in a racecar and the view out the front windsheild is spectacular.

In the Boxster S-Cayman S it feels like a normal sports car. Good but not as low as the NSX.

In the 1st few gears though the NA2 NSX feels kind of sluggish at low RPMS; the Porsches have better low end power. But once you get at highway speeds things even up and the NSX really pulls and pulls and pulls

Transmission feels tighter in the NSX too.

That video is madness. Gan san is a driving god.

Lets sum-up...

Super aggressive lap of the 'ring... heel and toeing in dress shoes... with white socks... top down ... no helmet. You have to be supremely confident in your ability, or just mad as a hatter to do that.

Watch out for the brown trouser moment at 7.53. He didn't seem to be phased by it at all! Although he was walking a bit funny when he stepped out of the car. lol.

The ergonomics, sitting position, and view out of the driver seat was what caused me to impulse buy my NSX-T. The exotic all aluminum body and design was the cherry on top.
