Why own a car if you are afraid to have it outside of the garage?

LOL, I just park way the fuk out and don't worry about it.

What a dumbass, he could go buy a decent alarm (with 2 way paging) and he'd get an alert if someone dinged him, touched it, etc. You can even get a motion sensor, have it tuned to 1-2' of your car and have it bark at pedestrians that get too close. Again, with a 2 way alarm, you'd get an alert (vibration/beeping) to let you know someone is festering close to your ride.

Nothing surprises me any more. Idiocracy is upon us. Rent it if you haven't

Sounds like the guy seems to have much more serious personality problems than just the obsession with his car. He should just keep the car in his garage all the time and pay regular visits to psychologist...

i luv when i drive my beater and see like a pos civic park in 2 spots at like the front of a store, i will park right next to him and get out my passenger side just to piss him off. Whats funny is my beater has like no clear and paint chipping and I can care less but none of the times has it got keyed or anything lol..
Lesson is dont take up too spots in the front of the parking lot. or ill park 2 inchs from u. Now if u do that in the back of the lot i can care less.

My guess is his car obsession didn't make him a jackass. I would guess it's the other way around!
Him being a Jackass made him have a car obsession

I understand his sentiments. I often park so I can see my car and I get a bit nervous when I see someone open their door near my car. Most of the time nothing happens but at least once I saw the dig occur. However, it regrettably is part of parking in public. If you have to be so worried about the car then either don't park it in public or park way off to the side.

When it comes to looking after the car really I don't care if it's a Ferrari, or a Civic Si. I may not think the Civic Si is precious but I'm OK if someone else does. My first new car wasn't a Ferrari but for the first year I could tell you the history of every blemish on the car. They are right to think others should respect their property and not open doors into it. Of course we know these things happen.

That said, there is always a limit. Yelling at people for something they DIDN'T do is way over that limit. If I didn't open my door into your car don't yell at me... I might change my mind. If you can't handle normal parking, don't park near others.

BTW, the guy who through the butt near the CTS should get yelled at. I can't stand people who throw their cigarette out the window. If you want to smoke at least use an ashtray.
