panamera

drove one of these, albeit the base model.

first the good. interior is excellent. really nice. feels solid going over bumps and while turning. although i wouldnt say handling feels really good.

now everything else. what an ugly car exterior. steering was ok, but didnt feel great and def not sporty ala boxster/cayman. i just dont understand this car and why someone would buy it over a 911. yes, it has back seats, but the roof slopes down so much that being the back in claustrophobic. im probably in the minority since they're selling like hotcakes.

I see like 3-4 a day being driven by rich soccer mom's here in the bay area. they seemed to have replaced the cayene which I used to see with the same frequency. I would drive one.

I think they're quite ugly, like a bloated 911. If it was up to me, I'd prefer the Cayenne... still not a gorgeous car, but better than the Panamera.

Way too damn ugly. I'd take a Cayenne as well...

after driving one(panamera 4S) for a prolonged period(500+ miles) and riding in several(base, turbo), i have come to like them alot. I found it to very comfortable on the long hual and around town, and the 4S was quite fast on the track in cabaple hands, to the point where i was very surprised something that big moved that quick. Steering wasnt super precise, but its a luxo-gt car, so i wasnt expecting razor sharp steering. I will agree, the exterior though isnt my cup of tea, and the sheer amount of buttons on the center console can become overwhelming for those not too tech savvy.

The looks are growing on me. It certainly has a certain presence. And the interior is gorgeous. The back seat is pretty comfortable. I'm surprised you found it claustrophobic. (I'm 6'1"). I suspect the S version is a better drive for sportiness. The 8 is much stronger than the 6, and sounds fantastic. Interesting that several of you would choose a Cayenne over it. I can see that it would be a fair comparison.

I haven't driven one but as for the looks, I thought it looked horrible in photos at launch time. But when I saw the first one in person I sort of liked it. Since then, the look has sort of grown on me. Not gorgeous but not bad for a 4 door sedan that weighs 4,400lbs, can do 0-60 in 3.6 seconds in top trim, tops out at 190 mph, and holds 44 cu ft of luggage. All for a mere $175K.

I like the looks. It has solidity. It has "presence."
I've sat in one. The rear seats are every bit as nice as the front. And the whole thing is gorgeous. I like the multitude of buttons rathe than a nested menu system.
I haven't ever driven one.

The car is too ugly to consider for anything. at all. period.

This is so much better in terms of styling! I hope Porsche will update the car to this concept soon.
