Talking Poor man's S2000

Hey guys, I think I just found a poor man's version of a S2000.

http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_1344/article.html

And it's a convertible like the S2000 also. I'm gonna get one.

How much is it? There's quite a few kit cars and the like being sold that look like that.

And some of these are NOT cheap.

The Atom is a nice car, but the ones I posted look similar to the one by the thread starter

I'd love to take an Atom out for a spin, but from what I've heard, it's a pretty tiring ride. Must be a blast

Heck, if you're allowing the Atom into the mix, why not the Radical SR-8? (yes, that is as in the new twin-Hayabusa V-8... 383 bhp at 10,000 rpm)

There is a place in Texas that makes Fakie Super 7's with S2000 drivetrains..... i think it is called WCM (not sure what that stands for). Anyway... they are about $35k turnkey.... that ain't cheap. resale would probably be about $20k after you roll off the lot.

I attempted to have a Westfield Megabusa (hyabusa engine and tranny) built... it was going to be about $33k in the end...... luckily i backed out of it...

Caterham's are in the mid 40's when even with non S2000 engines.

I don't know about it being a poor mans version since it would cost more to build than a new S2k. It should also be faster and handle better. As a true sports car it would be nice step up and still have the S2000's reliability. Pretty cool.
