Doesnt mean crap. Its a race car. Bugatti built a car that can lap most of these things, IN MASSIVE COMFORT. The stereo in it is 40K! No car will ever touch the Bugatti. It was made simply to prove a point and a technical excercise. They lost money on them all. Other cars have more than 1000hp, so what? They made a car that can do EVERYTHING. Not in the same league at all IMHO.

 

virtually any car maker can create a car comprable to the veyron if they are willing to throw money away. hopefully, the publicity of the veyron will help bugatti out if and when it decides to sell more "affordable" cars.

"...lap most of these things..." ? Do you live your life in a straight line?

 

The sheer speed of the thing is still enough to beat them overall. It will get passed in the corners, but will make up the difference very quickly.
