Prelude vs. RSX-S
I know that they're both 200 HP FWD Hondas, and how everything looks on paper. I'm curious about people who have driven them both and how you feel about both.
Obviously the RSX-S responds well to bolt-ons but then again a Prelude with a JRSC for $3K can produce some pretty damn impressive numbers, too.
And keep in mind a 1997-1998 Prelude is $10K or so.
Just trying to get an honest comparison of the 2.

the prelude feels more solid and refined. even though the peak hp for both is 200hp, there is a difference in torque and you can definitely feel it in daily driving. if you plan on modding, you might as well get a lude for less and spend the extra money you save on mods.
I wanted to buy a Prelude of one of the last few years, but the price was so high in 2003. I ended up with the RSX because it was only about 2k more, which I figured to be worth it for a brand new car.
That last generation of Preludes will always be one of my favorite cars.

i would vote on the RSX. The 'lude is a nice car, but the H22A was always a "bastard child" to the B18C as far as mods go. the market has moved to the K20, which is probably the best 4-cylinder engine ever made, at least if you don't count the F20C, hehe. BTW, the two are so closely related it's not even funny.

I never really thought of the Prelude as competition to the Integra in terms of performance, much less an RSX. It weighs almost 500 lbs more than the Integra! You need to keep that in mind when comparing HP.
I think the Prelude looks better than the 1G-A RSX-S, but the 1G-B RSX-S makes up for it big time.
The Prelude was voted several times as the best-handling car under $30k, so I would think it would be about even with a current RSX-S...unless FWD cars in the last 4 years have changed that much.

Was that EXCEPT for the Integra Type R? I've never heard of such a vote...
