R6 Owners
Hey, you R6 owners, are any of you guys up on R6messagenet? I just got my S2000 so I'm new here, but been hanging out there for quite some time. I figure there will be a lot of ppl with S2000s and R6s seeing how they are both dead sexxy and fast as shit

I am a S2000 owner and R6 owner in Tx. I see your in Austin, do you go to UT? I settled for the next best thing, UTA. I just got off my bike about two minutes ago. This morning I took my slip-on off and installed the stock. The slip on was too loud, especially when I did wheelies, I don't want to attract too much attention, especially the fuzz. The stock is too quite, but I think it has better performance for some reason. It feels like it accelerates alot smoother through 4k-7k rpms.
I sold my R6 (track only) so I could afford the S2000. I used to surf the R6messagenet board a little.
It was a great bike, a little to high strung and uncomfy for the road, but absolutely awesome on a race track. I highly recommend trying track days on you're R6, You won't want to ride on the street anymore.
pphamr6, you made the bike run Lean by adding a slip on, most bikes are already lean from the factory and are worse when you add exhaust. Hence the need for carb work.
The R6 needs to be above 8K before it makes any real power anyway.
I had a full M4 exhaust and proper jetting on mine, loud as hell, but very fast too. Too loud for the street.

yes, i was thinking that... i guess replacing my arm or leg with someone else's won't make me a someone else.
i am more of a handeling, corner speed and break-hard person than too much useless HP, quarter mile person. as you already know r1 engine in r6 frame is just too stupid (too much flex and..well you know) and won't fit but r1 engine in r7 frame is a beauty and i'd love to race on one.
