Default Radiator help

So my mothers H3 hummer has been leaking quite a bit of coolant. I'm not too familiar with what can be fixed and replaced on a radiator. I believe the coolant is leaking from the metal thing that sits above and in front of the radiator hose. Does this look like a whole new radiator is needed or can that piece be taken out and replaced itself? The arrow in the pic is where I think it's leaking from and the circle is where i know it drips from. Thanks!

The "metal thing" (as indicated by your arrow) is the radiator core itself crimped onto the plastic end tank. It essentially IS the radiator, not just an accessory. The part you circled just appears to be the bracket that holds the radiator in place.

High-end radiators have metal end tanks welded to to the core and look like this:

Cheaper radiators use plastic end tanks which the metal core is crimped onto like this:

If the radiator is leaking coolant from the joint between where the plastic and metal meet, get a new radiator. Do not piss money away on any of those leak stopping goops you pour into the radiator. Just get a new radiator and be done with it. Having a small leak like that can easily snowball into an overheating situation that leaves you with a warped head.
