Geez. . .sorry to hear Logan. Won't these Land Rovers have a better chance for rolling over?

I would imagine the insurance to be pretty high on a Land Rover. More so than an S2000.

My wife wanted the new Freelander but chose the Pilot. Now that Ford owns a majority fo Land Rover, I'd question their quality and reliability but you're looking for a used so you should be safe!

Land Rovers are a pain in the butt to maintain I hear. For reliability I'd suggest looking into a used Land Cruiser or Lexus LX470

As regard to flipping, my rents just wanted me to have something big with a good safety rating. They said Escalades and Navigators were too big so I though Rover would be great. Very luxurious and sweet.

BMW purchased land rover in the mid 90's and sold them to Ford in the late 90's. During that time BMW managed to clean up a number of issues.

While I don't own a Range Rover, I do own a 2000 Land Rover Discovery SE7 with the active handling package. It is a slow vehicle, there is no doubt. However it holds up to 7 people with the ski's on the top -- or more often 4 people, 2 100 pound dogs, and 150 pounds of camping gear with ease.

Contrary to popular opinion our Land Rover has been extremely reliable. It has needed to go back to the shop for a recall, and one other visit was necessary to correct some noises in back -- but both experiences were extremely pleasant, and on both occasions we received a Discovery loaner car.
