Default Is this reasonable? (car buying decision)

Ok, I have been flipping and flooping over what car to buy in the next 6 months when the weather is nice and warm and I will have a good chunk of savings for the car.

I want to buy a car for roughly $23-24K or so.

I currently drive a 1993 Saturn SL2 that I have had since HS and just now finished college (23 years old) currently has 180,800 miles and it shows no sign of dying

I would like to add a car to my stable being that I graduated college and have a decent job.

My choices.

An 02-03 S2000 with low miles falls into the right range.
In the next few months Corvette C5 prices will be selling like hot cakes and I will probably be able to find a GREAT deal.
A brand new Acura RSX Type-S can be had for $21k or so

An S2000 is a great sports car, small and compact, great for someone my age! HID are awesome. Interior is good though it could have auto climate perhaps and a better stereo.

A C5 is an awesome sports car stable at 178mph. Very easily modifiable to 400+ HP. Very reliable. Con: Styling is blah to me and I feel that it is really for someone older.

RSX would be a great replacement for my Saturn, but I am not in the market to have two compact FWD cars, though how long can a 180,000 mile car go for? The HP is good, styling is good, auto climate is good. Price is GREAT, having a new car is GREAT too.

The RSX is a GREAT car in every way and makes an exceptional daily driver. The S2000 is also a great car but might not be the best daily driver, especially in colder states. (such as Ohio) If you can afford a winter car (read:beater) as well as an s2000 I'd go with the S. If you can only afford one car go with the RSX. My boss has an RSX Type Sand I've driven it a few times. It's an awesome car comfort and performance wise. The suspension is a little soft but that can be fixed relatively cheaply. Otherwise as a daily driver it's amazing for around $21,000.
But to me nothing is like an S2000, it's such a unique and exhilerating car to drive. Most cars this side of a ferrari can't compare to it's wild character and ridiculously high revving engine. Try and drive both cars and see which one suits you best and also weigh out the pros and cons of each car. I hope that helps a little.

I was going to suggest the WRX, but seing as you are keeping your fwd car for winter, maybe a rwd drop top is the way to go. Of course we all love the S2000, can't go wrong with that.

my vote for the most fun to drive car

Tip: Check how your insurance rates would be affected before buying any of these cars. There's been a spate of "I bought an S2000, why did my insurance premium go up by $2000" posts recently...

Nice, go with the S2k. Fun factor way ahead of others. Consider a Z if you want a coupe.
