well, if you've ever actually driven a speedboat, or even a fishing boat, you'd know that they handle a lot better than cars

They can't stop also cars generally you are driving 60-80-100 mph and it's like nothing. With a boat I don't think you go that fast or if you do it's not like nothing.

I saw the episode of Top Gear when they had to make an amphibious car...

In it, Clarkson wanted a 250 hp Honda engine on his Toyota pickup. A speedboat champ/expert said 250 hp on that heavy Toyota truck would've just caused it to spit water in the back. In the case of this boat, it weighs about 3000lbs with twice that horsepower.

Yea, I think 60 mph on water is considered pretty fast. You would really have to consider its slow down if you go faster than that. I've been on a jetski, it feels fast cuz of the wind, but the turns are like "drifting" since you never grip the water like the road.
